WHAT TO EXPECT

At Little Sprouts Kids Dentistry, every visit is designed with your child's needs in mind.  The first visit is a time for us to get to know you and your child. First and foremost, our goal for the first meeting is to make sure your child leaves our office smiling! We want to create a positive experience so that they will look forward to every visit.

We will do our best to schedule appointments based on your convenience. However, appointment times are often dependent on the amount and type of dental treatment that needs to be done, as well as each child's specific needs. For example, younger children are more patient and comfortable in the early morning. This is ideal for kids needing extensive treatment or require a slower pace.

On your child's first visit, we encourage parents to stay with their child for the duration of the appointment. This gives Dr. Susanto and her team the chance to get to know the whole family. At Little Sprouts Kids Dentistry, we believe in good communication and active participation when it comes to your child's dental health. That being said, in some instances, we may ask parents to be "silent observers" or to wait in the reception room. Some children perform better on their own and this also allows us to communicate with your child independently in order to work towards a trusting relationship.

OUR POLICIES

CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

We take pride in catering each appointment to each patient, we do ask that you be responsible in keeping your child’s scheduled appointments. We require notification of cancellation at least 24 hours prior to a confirmed appointment for cleaning/exam appointments and 48 hours prior to treatment appointments and appointments exceeding 2 hours. A No-Show is considered when there was not a 24 hours advance notice of cancellation or failure to arrive within 10 minutes of the appointment time without notification. You may also be subjected to a $50 missed appointment fee that must be paid in full before the next appointment. Families with 2 No-Shows in a 2 year period will not be able to reschedule for future appointments and will receive a dismissal letter. We understand that special unavoidable circumstances or life events may cause a missed appointment. No-shows and fees in this instance may be waived with management approval. When life happens, feel free to reach out to our team and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

BILLING & PAYMENTS

At Little Sprouts Kids Dentistry, our relationship is with you and your child, not your insurance company. We base our decisions on the best course of action for your child, not on what your insurance will or will not pay. While we are happy to help bill your insurance company as a courtesy to you, we ask that you be familiar with your insurance benefits and be responsible for specific plan details. At the time of your visit, we will present you with a treatment plan and an estimated out-of-pocket cost. This is an estimate only. We do not determine your dental benefits and thus are not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims or for what benefits they pay on a claim. Little Sprouts Kids Dentistry at no time guarantees what your insurance will or will not do with each claim. Little Sprouts Kids Dentistry will not be held responsible for any errors in filing your insurance claims.
